Milestones

Caley Thistle came into this game with a number of injuries and suspensions and got off to the worst possible start by losing a goal in 4 minutes.

The only goal of the game came when Diver sent over a cross from the right and Lamont headed it past Jim Calder.

The visitors had several good first half chances to come back but Butter saved well from Robertson, Christie (twice) and MacMillan. Alloa could have made it 2-0 but Jim Calder made several good saves and Whyte hit it past the post.

In the 54th minute Caley Thistle attempted to change things by substituting Paul McKenzie for Robertson and within seconds he came close with a strong shot which went just past the post. Alloa also had second half chances but Calder was in good form.

Mitchell & Scott came close for the visitors but nothing came off and Alloa held on to win 1-0.
