First Team Debuts

Milestones

A lacklustre display by the visitors and County deserved to win. The first chance fell to the visitors when Stewart played a one-two with Hercher but his close range shot was well saved. Seven minutes later Bradshaw was through but the ball was snatched by Calder. At the other end Somerville cleared a Stewart shot off the line.

In 25 minutes County took the lead when Andy MacLeod took a Ferries pass and drove the ball past Calder. Close to half time a Scott corner fell to Noble but he blasted it over.

From the restart it was nearly 2-0 when a curling 25 yard drive from Milne was well held by Calder. In 80 minutes the visitors were caught on the counter-attack when Grant scored from a Milne pass. The visitors gained a consolation goal in the 86th minute - John Scott drove the ball through the County defence and McAllister thumped it home. A minute later Caley Thistle had a penalty claim turned down when MacKay appeared to handle.
