First Team Debuts
Milestones
With little to play for this was never going to be a classic. The first half hour was a boring midfield battle with only two real chances. In 9 minutes Brechins McNeil shot over the bar and in 18 minutes Hercher slipped it past the post.
Hercher made amends in 31 minutes when he took a Christie pass and flicked it over Allan. Two minutes later Christie hit it just past the post and in 38 minutes Brechins Farnan shot over the bar.
The second half was more lively. In 53 minutes Conway volleyed it over the bar and 8 minutes later an 18 yard Scott effort at the other end was blocked. In 70 minutes Scott hit the post and two minutes later Thomson netted from 15 yards but he was offside.
Brechin came back with efforts from Kerrigan, Buick and Farnan. In the last minute Ray Allan came rushing out of his goal and hit the ball off Christie - Christie tried to regain balance and shoot but did not succeed.
