Milestones

Another wet and windy home match for the Inverness side but a good win. They went ahead in the 3rd minute - Charlie Christie sent Daisy Ross clear on the right, he headed for goal and slipped it to Iain Stewart who stroked it home from 3 yards.

In 36 minutes Stewart made it 2-0 from the penalty spot after Marco De Barros had been brought down - a soft penalty which enraged the Alloa camp.

The dreadful conditions made everything difficult but the Inverness side continued to dominate in the second half.

In 69 minutes a powerful Charlie Christie drive was parried by Monaghan, Iain Stewart touched it to Daisy Ross who scored from a tight angle.

In 76 minutes Alloa gained a consolation goal when Mark Cowan rose above a static defence to head home Willie Irvines free kick. This victory which puts the Inverness side 13 points clear at the top of the Division with 10 games left.
