REPORT - A decisive start to the season against a determined Wick side. Marco De-Barros created a record when he scored the first in 32 seconds. Ross Tokely powered down the Harmsworth slope and passed to De-Barros who drove home. In 15 minutes Wayne Addicoat made it two with a high lob over Thomsons head and in 28 minutes a powerful header from Tokely made it 3-0 after a free kick from debutante Norwegian Vetle Andersen.

Wicks Alan Murray came close in 17 minutes when a header bounced over the bar and he brought out saves from Jim Calder in 35 and 42 minutes. Barry Wilson made it 4 in 60 minutes with a drive from 25 yards and in 77 minutes Charlie Christie added a fifth when he hammered it into the top corner. Wicks only second half chances were saved by Calder - from Gordon McDonald in 61 minutes and from Murray in 71 minutes.
