Milestones
Richie Hart scored his first goal for the Club.

A comprehensive win for Caley Thistle and a feast of goals. They completely outclassed Saints who made the situation worse with bad defensive errors. In eight minutes Charlie Christie sent a low ball from the right and Barry Robson hit past. The move was repeated a minute later and this time a Ricky Gillies failed clearance fell at the feet of Robson and he scored with a drive from 10 yards. In 21 minutes Robson raced down the left and the ball came back to him via Christie – he headed goalwards, cut inside trialist Claus Dietrich and hit a right footed shot past Kris Robertson from 16 yards. Three minutes later it was 3-0. Robson and Christie again combined on the left before Christie sent a daisy-cutter wide of the diving Robertson to give Ritchie Hart his first goal for the club with a tap-in. Saints were given rough treatment by their fans at half-time but did not improve in the second half. The fourth goal came when Robson was brought down 20 yards out. Christie took a quick free kick wide of the ‘keeper as the wall was assembling and it found the net via the woodwork. Despite home protests the goal stood. Saints produced little with Martin Canning the only one to come close – he headed over late in the first half then made a mess of a chance in front of goal early in the second. An away victory to savour for the Caley Thistle fans.
