Milestones
Raith came back from a bad run to take a point against a Caley Thistle side suffering a cup hangover. Raith dominated the early period and Jim Calder did well to thwart Jay Stein in the 12th minute. Calder then again came to the rescue when he saved a first time shot from Ivan Mballa. As the half wore on the visitors came into the game and only a last minute tackle from Paul Browne denied Martin Bavidge a shooting chance. Charlie Christie came close before half time with a clever lob. Caley Thistle opened the scoring in 51 minutes when keeper Samuel Monin failed to hold a Bobby Mann header after a Paul Sheerin free kick and it broke free and Denis Wyness scored from close range. Monin then saved from Christie and Sheerin lobbed over the keeper and the bar. Raith equalised in 63 minutes after Stein was judged to be onside in suspicious circumstances and he was forced wide but centred to allow Mark Jones to score into the empty net. The visitors could have stolen the points in the final minute but Monin brilliantly pushed a Sheerin shot round the post. Caley Thistle have still never beaten Raith.
