Caley Thistle's long unbeaten league run ended when Davide Xausa and Barry Wilson scored two goals each against their former team. The visitors were held up by a road accident on the A9 at Ballinluig so the match started 15 minutes late. Livingston were well ahead from the start and in 20 minutes it was 1-0. David Bingham sent over a cross from the left and Xausa headed past Jim Calder. Paul Sheerin then fired over the bar and a Bobby Mann free kick went inches wide. In 31 minutes Ian McCaldon produced a one-handed parry to turn a Barry Robson shot away. Caley Thistle had chances in the second half but it was Livingston who were in real control. In 49 minutes Ian McCaldon tipped over a Ross Tokely header and on the hour mark he saved from Paul Sheerin. In 65 minutes Xausa went down in the box and Barry Wilson scored from the penalty to make it 2-0. Ten minutes later Xausa made it 3-0 when he dispossessed Bobby Mann then easily beat Calder. Dennis Wyness scored a consolation goal in 79 minutes then two minutes from time Wilson completed the rout with his second and Livingston's fourth. Livingston now leapfrog Ayr and go back to the top while Caley Thistle slip to fourth.
