A hard-working and skilful player who is a mainstay in the Caley Thistle midfield. His main strength is his consistency and as the seasons go on he seems to get better and better.
A left-sided player who scores superb goals. One of a number of players who have journeyed across the Kessock Bridge from neighbours Ross County and he has certainly been a massive success and a firm favourite with the fans.
Made his 300th app. for the club in the opening league fixture of the 2008-09 season in the away game against Aberdeen and scored in the last minute of the match in a 2-0 win. Has the distinction of playing with both Dundee clubs before moving to play with Ross County.
Scored Caley Thistle's first goal last season against Montrose in the 1st Rd. of the Alba Challenge Cup although his appearances were few and far between but he did play in two of the final three games. Roy is very much a firm favourite with the supporters for all his hard work and determination and he signed a new one-year contract during the close season.
Now in his 11th season with the club, he received a well-deserved Testimonial Match in November. Another player whose experience is of value to the club.
Recently passed his UEFA B Coaching Badge.
