A tough and determined Nairn side took Caley Thistle to extra time before the senior side emerged victorious. Mark Holmes lobbed Ally Ridgers in the third minute but he was offside. Ridgers made a point blank save from Holmes in 11 minutes. Liam Keogh headed over at the other end and Ridgers saved twice from Scott Kellacher. In 65 minutes Holmes chipped Ridgers and hit the bar. In the second half excellent saves from Michael Rae kept the score blank. In the first minute of extra time Keogh bundled home a Barry Robson corner to break the deadlock. In 105 minutes Robson was tripped and he slotted home the penalty. Nairn could not recover and Caley Thistle edged into the final.
