Season 2002/03 : After joining the club from Celtic (as a striker) his appearances for the majority of his first season were made from the subs bench.

Season 2003/04 : Was injured during the latter end of pre-season and missed the opening seven weeks. Came back into the first team set-up for the league match against St Mirren on 27th Sept. ’03 and didn’t look back. Although Liam was signed as a striker, he dropped back into an attacking midfield role and seems to relish the new role. He has looked far more accomplished in midfield than he did up front and with his lightning pace is a vital player for ICT in midfield. Even though he gave up his striking role, he can score goals … scored three tremendous goals in this season - the opening goal at Broadwood in the second last Saturday of the season being a classic and also a most vital one for everyone connected with Caley Thistle.

His overall play during 2003-04 was rewarded by Manager John Robertson with a new three-year deal - something that he fully deserved. A fans favourite he was voted the Internet Player of the Year for Season 2003-04 and made his 50th app. for ICT on 28th February 2004 in a game against Clyde.

Season 2004/05 : Liam began this campaign in fine form and was a virtual ever-present in the side due to his superb form. Unfortunately however, disaster struck when he picked up a groin injury after the game against Dundee in the middle of January, which was to keep him out of the side until the end of the season. Liam is one of the quickest players at the club and certainly one of the hardest workers and he was a big loss for manager Craig Brewster as we strove for a Top Six place in the league.

Season 2005/06 : Season 2005-06 began on the sidelines as he continued to recover from the groin injury. He made his first appearance on the bench against Ayr United in the TSC 3rd Rd. but didn’t come on. His first appearance of the season came as a sub in the TSC 4th Rd. replay against Partick Thistle and he then went on to feature in a further six league games, four from the starting line-up.
