A Paul Cherry header gave them the lead but Forfar equalised through Ralph Brand – a close range tap-in after Les Fridge had saved an Andy Cargill header. A Barry McLean lob gave Forfar the lead but a Paul Sheerin penalty earned a draw after Barry Robson was brought down.
