He began his career at Hearts, coming through the club’s youth academy to make 25 appearances for the Edinburgh side, scoring once.
This is McDonald’s second time signing for the Caley Jags, he spent half of the 2018/19 on loan at the Caledonian Stadium from Hearts. During his loan period, McDonald played 14 games for the Caley Jags, scoring once. Anthony played for Inverness two years ago from January 25th 2019 until 15th May 2019. He signed again for Inverness until the end of season in February 2021 on a free after having left Cordoba but a serious injury sustained in training has ruled him out for the entire length of his present contract and he was unable to feature in any games in 20/21 season.
Despite his injuries, Anthony was offered an extension to his current contract for season 21/22.

Anthony left Inverness in January 2022 after not featuring regularly and struggling with injuries. Anthony made his return in July during our Premier Sports Group Stage match against Hearts and went on to make 5 appearances for the club this season.

In total across his two spells with ICTFC, Anthony made 19 appearances and scored one goal.
