Inverness CT can confirm that our final signing of TODAY is defender Remi Savage, who signs on a permanent deal from Newcastle United. (6 months with possible extensions etc)
Savage, 22 years-old, started his career at Liverpool FC where he was in the club’s academy system since he was just five years-old. The centre-back made his under-18s debut for Liverpool under Steven Gerrard in the 2017/18 season and was part of the Reds’ FA Youth Cup winning squad the following season before signing a first professional contract in the summer of 2020.
Remi joined Newcastle United from Liverpool in July 2021 for £250,000 and has featured for their Under 23 side in the Premier League 2 during 2021/22, 2022/23 and this season.
Remi has signed on again for our season of turmoil in League 1 for 2024/2025. Length of contract was 1 year.
After a great admin season for Remi partnering Danny Devine at centre back, he is back for more having signed an initial 1 year deal...Good business by the club, takes him up to the summer of 2026.
June 12th 2026: Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC are delighted to announce that defender Remi Savage has signed a new one-year deal with the club.
Savage, 24, joined us in January 2024 from Newcastle United FC and has made 111 appearances for the club, scoring once. Remi was named the Players’ Player of the Year and was also selected in the PFA Scotland William Hill League One Team of the Season during last season’s title-winning campaign.
Upon signing, Remi said: “I’m buzzing and excited for the season ahead. I’m delighted to get the deal over the line and I’m really looking forward to getting into pre-season with the boys and working hard.”
