English First Division newcomers Queens Park Rangers continued their Highland tour with a visit to Inverness. For ICT fans this was a rare glimpse of their team in action at home and they saw the new strip for the first time.

Most first half pressure was on the QPR goal. The ICT goal in 33 minutes was a joy to behold after a clever move out of defence. Barry Wilson flicked it into the path of Steve Hislop and he volleyed first time past Chris Day.

QPR moved up a gear in the second half and Jamie Cureton proved to be an inspired substitute. Mark Brown tipped over his curling shot in 76 minutes and, from the corner, Cureton seized on a loose ball and scored from a few yards out.

With five minutes left David Proctor created space on the right edge of the box then found Wilson but his shot was blocked. In the end honours were even and this was about right.
