Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC can confirm the signing of David Wotherspoon on an initial short term deal to January 2024.
Wotherspoon, 33 years-old, becomes Duncan Ferguson’s first signing as ICTFC Manager.
Wotherspoon started his career at Hibernian, coming through the club’s academy and playing over 150 appearances for the Edinburgh side.
Upon leaving Hibs, Wotherspoon joined St Johnstone in 2012 and went on to become a club legend with the Saints. Over his time at St Johnstone, Wotherspoon made over 350 appearances for the club, winning the Scottish Cup twice and the Scottish League Cup once.
Wotherspoon provided assists in both the 2014 Scottish Cup Final and the 2021 Scottish Cup Final. He was also named the Man of the Match in the 2021 Final.
Wotherspoon represents Canada at international level and has been capped 13 times, scoring once. He was named in Canada’s 2022 FIFA World Cup and 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup squads.

David has joined Dundee United after he turned down an offer to stay at Inverness when his short term contract expired having scored 5 goals in 11 appearances. He is a quality player and will be missed.
He has now joined Dunfermline Athletic for season 2024/2025.
