First Team Debuts

Milestones

This was a good win for Caley Thistle and redressed the balance after their defeat by Queens in August.

The home side had the advantage for much of the first half but could not break down a well organised Caley Thistle defence. In 7 minutes Graham broke away but his shot brought a fine save from McRitchie. Queens also had chances through McCormick and McPhee while the visitors came close when a McMillan shot was well saved by Chalmers.

Five minutes into the second half Wilson Robertson put the visitors in front with a superb 20 yard shot. Queens retaliated and a Graham Elder header was well saved by McRitchie.

Seven minutes from time Paul McKenzie was pulled down by Queens' Graham Elder and a penalty awarded. McKenzie took the kick himself and made no mistake. This secured an excellent win for Caley Thistle.
