Craig began his senior career with Raith Rovers and was leading goalscorer with the Starks Park side in Season 1998-99 and 1999-2000 with 8 and 12 goals. He was then transferred to Kilmarnock where he has been ever since. His time at Rugby Park has seen him make over 110 appearances and in the process scoring over 20 goals. He’s had a few injuries to contend with but played in a good number of first team and reserve team games last season and scored a number of goals. Played for Killie in Europe and he also has scored at that level. He has also played 10 times for the Scotland Under-21 side.

Season 2005/06 : Craig made his debut for the club in the 2-0 win over Falkirk at the Falkirk Stadium on 30th July 2005 and since then has been in inspirational form. All that was missing was goals. He finally scored his first against Rangers at Ibrox and then began to score freely and ended the season as the club’s leading goalscorer with a fantastic 20 goals. He notched a double against Hibs but had to come off with concussion, missing the next game.

Craig was voted the Players’ Player of the Year and also Official Website Player of the Year plus he shared the Highland News/Acorn Signs Player of the Year Award with Darren Dods. A phenomenal first season saw him also play for the opening 45 minutes of the Scotland Futures International against Turkey at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium, setting up Scotland’s first goal.
