Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC are pleased to announce the signings of midfielder Alfie Stewart on loan from Aberdeen FC until the end of the season 24/25

Alfie Stewart, 18 years-old, is an Aberdeen FC academy graduate and spent the second half of last season on loan at Scottish League 2 side Peterhead, playing 17 games and scoring once.

The midfielder was captain of the Aberdeen Under 18s side which won the Club Academy Scotland U18 league last season.

Alfie has returned to Aberdeen after his successful loan deal expired at the end of 24/25 after making 18 appearances and scoring 3 crucial goals.

Alfie is back on loan for six months for the start of season 25/26. He does like to take a wee free kick. Boom! Unfortunately Alfie's loan deal has now expired but Inverness are still hopeful of getting Alfie back to the Highlands as of January 8th 2026. It was announced on 13th January that Alfie will see out the season in the Highlands.

Alfie, 19, is a familiar face at the Sarens PSG Stadium, having made 61 appearances and scored 11 goals across his previous two loan spells with the club.

He first joined us on loan from Aberdeen in January 2025, making 17 appearances and scoring three goals as he helped the club retain their League One status in 2024-25.

He returned for the 2025–26 campaign and played a vital role in helping the club secure the League One title. Alfie was named SPFL League One Player of the Season, ICTFC Supporters’ Player of the Season and Players’ Young Player of the Season after making 44 appearances and scoring eight goals.
