Milestones
Kevin Byers scored his first goal for the Club.

For the second week in a row Caley Thistle beat St Mirren in a cup match. For 90 minutes the sides were well matched but in extra time the home side created good chances and deservedly won 2-0. In 104 minutes Charlie Christie was brought down in the box by Ross - Sheerin made no mistake with the penalty. St Mirren offered little after that and the game was sealed a minute from time when debutant Kevin Byers capped a fine display with a 12 yard strike into the net. Another long drive down the A9 for St Mirren with nothing to show for their efforts.
