Milestones
Caley Thistle clearly enjoyed this visit to the National Stadium and dominated most of the match.
In 17 minutes Iain Stewart scored from close range after good work by Christie and Hercher. Four minutes later Stewart added a second when he drew the whole defence and slotted the ball just inside the right hand post.
Queens had first half chances but they found Jim Calder in great form. Just after the restart Chalmers bravely smothered the ball at Stewarts feet.
In 50 minutes Alan Hercher made it 3-0 - he collected a long pass from Charlie Christie and drove the ball home from 20 yards. Further chances fell to Stewart, Christie and Hercher but it remained 3-0 and Caley Thistle moved up into second place in the league.
