First Team Debuts

Milestones

A disappointing result for Caley Thistle despite dominating the first half.

In the first few minutes both McAllister and Hercher headed narrowly over the bar and in 34 minutes Balfour saved at the feet of Colin Mitchell.

Alloas only real first half chance came in 28 minutes when Moffat shot over the bar from 10 yards. Early in the second half Dave Brennan headed off the line and Mitchell shot over the bar at the other end.

On the hour mark a Christie lob was only just saved by Balfour. In 79 minutes Alloa took the lead after a mix up between Calder and Bennett - Rixon nipped in and easily headed home.

Charlie Christie equalised 5 minutes later - a Mitchell cross was headed down by Ross and Christie drove the ball past Balfour. In the last minute Alloa nearly stole the game when an excellent Cadden free kick from 25 yards was turned past the post by Jim Calder.
