An excellent performance by Caley Thistle. Dwyer had two early chances but Caley Thistle took the lead in 15 minutes through Scott when he took a pass from Hercher and shot from the edge of the area.
After 28 minutes Stewart made it two after an interchange with Christie. An angled drive after a Teasdale pass gave Stewart his second just before half time. Substitute Ross scored with a looping header just after taking the field. Six minutes later Stewart completed his hat trick - he took a pass from Hercher and finished well from 8 yards.
The home side then gained a consolation goal. Stirlings cross was met by Iain Lee who scrambled it over the line.
