First Team Debuts

Milestones

A good performance by the visitors and a deserved victory.

Queens came close in 2 minutes through McGoldrick but his shot was scrambled off the line by McAllister. Midway through the half Caley Thistle took control and were rewarded with a goal in 43 minutes -Teasdale powered down the right wing, cut it back and Stewart shot home from 8 yards.

In 56 minutes Christie made it 2-0 from a difficult situation - he came down in the box and while still on the ground he twisted round and slid the ball into the net from the penalty spot. Three minutes later Teasdale nearly made it three but his superb 18 yard shot was tipped past by keeper Bruce.

From the corner a Teasdale header looked goal-bound but it was deflected onto the post then held by Bruce. Queens fought back and made it 2-1 on 71 minutes when McPhee scored from close range after an Edgar pass.
