Milestones
After a bad start Caley Thistle went on to a convincing win their first at Starks Park. Stuart McCaffrey was harshly penalised for a tackle on Nacha Novo just inside the penalty area in two minutes and Novo scored from the penalty. In 11 minutes honours were even when Caley Thistle were awarded a penalty after Shaun Dennis was adjudged to have pulled Dennis Wynesss shirt Bobby Mann scored to make it 1-1. In 21 minutes Charlie Christie robbed Greg McCulloch just inside the Raith half then ran on to score from 18 yards with a low ball past the advancing Sammy Monin. Paul Ritchie made it 3-1 after 64 minutes with an angled shot in the box off the post then seven minutes later Ross Tokely scored with a close range header following a Barry Robson free kick from the right. An unfortunate piece of history was created in 77 minutes when Jim Calder came on for the injured Nicky Walker the first time Caley Thistle have substituted a keeper in a competitive match. Robson scored number five with just four minutes left when he took a Tokely defence-splitting pass, left Paul Browne sprawling and hit it neatly past Monin.
