Milestones
Caley Thistle lost their 5th match in a row but not without a fight. They were on top for an hour before two minutes of madness led to their downfall. On loan Aberdeen defender Stuart McCaffrey set up the first goal in 16 minutes with a high ball to David Bagan down the right. The winger raced towards goal and hit a superb drive past Bryn Halliwell. That was it until 16 minutes into the second half. Mark McLaughlin went down in the home box and referee Toner amazingly gave a penalty. Continued protests led to Stuart Golabek being dismissed. Steve Convery converted the penalty off the post in 62 minutes. This spurred Clyde on and Jim Calder tipped over a Nicky Henderson shot in 68 minutes. Four minutes later a blocked shot fell to Convery on the edge of the box and he hit home to give Clyde the lead. A timely Barry Robson tackle in 80 minutes prevented Henderson extending the lead. Caley Thistle battled on and in the dying minutes came close twice. A Bobby Mann header came off the bar in 85 minutes and just before the whistle a Martin Bavidge low drive was deflected onto the post. A frustrating afternoon for the home fans and another defeat but an improvement in their teams performance.
