Charlie Gilmour has signed on a 2 year contract. He played on loan for Cove Rangers last season and Alloa Athletic the previous season from parent club St Johnstone.
The 24 year old central midfielder started his career in the Arsenal youth academy, joining the London side at just 6 years-old. Although born in Brighton, Gilmour has a Scottish father and Scottish grandparents and has featured for Scotland at U15, U16, U17 and U19 level.
Charlie scored his first goal for the club with a thumping 30 yard volley against Airdrie in a 2-3 league cup defeat at the Caledonian Stadium on 25th July 2023.
Unfortunately, having been made captain during the season, Charlie missed the last quarter of the season through injury having made 31 starts (1 from the bench) and scoring twice.
Charlie will be an important player for us in League 1 season 2024/2025. And he was as we avoided relegation after a 15 point deduction due to administration.
He left Inverness in the summer break ahead of season 25/26 opting to sign a 3 year deal for Neil Lennon at Dunfermline Athletic after declining the offer of another season or two at Inverness.
Gilmour made a total of 72 appearances, (3 as a sub) scoring seven times.
