First Team Debuts

Milestones
Paul Sheerin played his 100th major competitive game for the Club.

This result gave Dunfermline promotion. After a bright start Caley Thistle went a goal down in 24 minutes when David Moss headed in a Stewart Petrie cross from the left. In 32 minutes it was 2-0. Lee Bullen was judged to be onside when he took a through pass from Steve Crawford and he ran on to hit it past Les Fridge. The home fans were furious as Bullen looked yards offside. Bullen was again through just on half time but his lob over Fridge was wide. The home side started the second half quietly but came onto a good game and pulled one back and Davide Xausa headed home Barry Wilson's corner in 63 minutes. This spurred them on and the rest of the game was spent chasing an equaliser. Wilson came closest in 87 minutes when he was set up by Kevin Byers. The defence expected a pass but instead he sent in a low angled shot which Mampaey did well to hold.
