With Albion sitting proudly at the top of the league this was never going to be an easy game. Albion had the better of the first half but the second half was more even and the visitors could have won.
The best chances came close to the end - Jim Calder made a tremendous save from Albions player/manager Vinnie Moore and, in injury time, Charlie Christie hit the underside of the bar at the other end - a beautiful strike from just outside the penalty area.
