Milestones

The last competitive match at Telford Street

A large crowd attended this historic last competitive match at Telford Street. Arbroath had keeper Craig Hinchcliffe to thank for keeping the score down.

The home side went ahead in 25 minutes when Brian Thomson netted with a low drive from 10 yards after a great run by Richard Hastings.

In 55 minutes it was 2-0 after a similar move involving Paul Cherry and Iain Stewart - a strong run by Cherry through the defence followed by a Stewart strike from 15 yards.

The game then went rather flat - the game was won and the home side slackened the pace. The Inverness side now move up to 3rd equal in the league.
