First Team Debuts

Milestones
Russell Duncan played his 50th major competitive game for the Club.

Back to earth with a bang as the winning run came to an end. A late call-off by Ross Tokely led to a first start for Tony Low and only four substitutes. Weak clearances by Bryn Halliwell set up early chances for Dennis Wyness and Tony Low then in 15 minutes Alan Kernaghan headed onto the Caley Thistle bar. Clyde took the lead in 30 minutes when a long run by Pat Keogh set up Colin Nish via Andy Millen. Nish hit low past Mark Brown from a seemingly offside position. Right on half-time Nish scored his second when a long high ball found him just outside the penalty area - his pace took him clear of defenders and he netted from 10 yards. The visitors improved in the second half and Paul Ritchie had several chances. The closest was in 72 minutes when his header from Low’s cross rebounded off the post. A deflected cross from the left gave Low a sight of goal but his 12 yard shot went past. Nish nearly completed his hat trick in 75 minutes but hesitated then was booked for diving. Steve Convery scored the third goal with just ten minutes left – four minutes after coming on as a substitute. John Fraser sent a high cross from the right wing and Convery headed into the corner. Plenty of room for improvement!
