Milestones
Mike Teasdale made his 200th competitive appearance for the Club.

An uninspiring start to the new season but a welcome point. All three new signings appeared with Paul Bradshaw making an impressive debut in the starting eleven. Paul Ritchie and Russell Duncan both came on as substitutes. Clydes Steven Convery came close in 7 minutes with a glancing header which raced past the post. Leigh Hinds limped off in 17 minutes and his replacement Brian Crawford livened up the Clyde attack. Jamie Mitchell tried a long range shot in 21 minutes but Jim Calder took it confidently. Mitchell had two other attempts on the half hour mark before Crawford gave Clyde the lead three minutes later. His pace took him past the defence down the right and into the box he scored off the post from an acute angle. Clyde keeper Bryn Halliwell was hardly tested in the first half. The second half was much livelier and it only took two minutes for Caley Thistle to equalise. Martin Bavidge was chasing a loose ball in the Clyde box when he was brought down by Halliwell. Bobby Mann hammered the penalty low past the keeper. At the other end Charlie Christie came to his defences rescue in 57 minutes when he blocked a low Mitchell shot. A good Caley Thistle move in 65 minutes led to a Dennis Wyness shot Halliwell pushed it between his legs but recovered quickly. In 82 minutes a Roy McBain chip just cleared the bar then Jim Calder tipped over a Jack Ross cross with 5 minutes left. Clyde were disappointed not to hold their early lead but a draw was about right.
