Milestones

This first league win of the season was marred by a bad shoulder injury to new striker Davide Xausa. The Canadian international player had an excellent game but had to be substituted just after the goal. It was not a great match to watch but Caley Thistle did take full points and moved off the bottom of the league. It took a penalty to decide the match. Substitute Barry Wilson tormented the defence once too often and was brought down. Paul Sheerin stepped up and scored his 3rd penalty goal of the season. A last minute scramble in the Caley Thistle box caused home hearts to flutter but Les Fridge punched away. The whistle went and the single goal was enough to take the points.
