First Team Debuts

Milestones

For over an hour it looked as if Airdrie were going to take all three points as they were a goal ahead and always dangerous near to goal. Martin Glancy's 72nd minute equaliser changed all that and in the end Airdrie were lucky to hold on. In 35 minutes Airdrie took the lead. McCormick crossed low from the right and Evans hooked it into the net from a few yards. Airdrie nearly stole a goal on the stroke of half time. McCulloch was under pressure from Niall Thompson when he sent a short ball to Fridge, Thompson stepped in and missed an easy chance. The visitors hit on the break in 72 minutes to equalise. Wilson crossed from the left and Glancy headed home from close range. This triggered a spell of intense Caley Thistle pressure but it ended in a draw.
