Milestones
Queens gave the visitors a hard game despite their lowly league position. Caley Thistle dominated the early stages and a Scott McLean header was cleared off the line by Jim Thomson. Seconds later keeper David Mathieson dived to smother a Wayne Addicoat cross. It was a long time before Queens posed a threat and close to the half hour mark Steve Leslie shot over the bar. In 32 minutes ICT took the lead. Paul Sheerin raced from midfield and passed to McLean whose shot was palmed out but Sheerin followed up to head home. The lead only lasted two minutes as Jim Calder brought down Alex Nesovic in the box and Ken Eadie scored from the penalty. After the break Caley Thistle created several chances with Mathieson denying Addicoat, McLean and Wilson. Queens took the lead in 72 minutes when a Brian Caldwell cross from the left was smashed in by Bailey. Two minutes later a loose ball was allowed to bounce in front of goal by Aitken and McLean stepped in to ram it into the net for 2-2. Queens came close to a winner in the dying seconds when first a Caldwell header went narrowly over then a Mallan strike came off Calder. Livingston drew and Clyde won so Caley Thistle remain a point behind Livingston and 8 points clear of third placed Clyde.
