Milestones
With the snow gates closing behind them Caley Thistle just made it down the A9 to a cold and windy Broadwood. They went home with a point after a lively but difficult match. Les Fridge was called into action in the third minute when he saved well from Ian McDonald then Stephen Convery from the rebound. Clyde's McDonald should have done better on 10 minutes but he failed to connect with Barratt's dangerous cross from the right. ICT had a good spell after that with Wylie saving a low Christie shot then taking the ball off the feet of Scott McLean. In 27 minutes Wylie was again inspired when he saved a strong McLean strike. The visitors came close 5 minutes from half-time when a Martin Glancy ball across goal was met by Christie but diverted for a corner. Clyde broke through a minute later with a well worked free kick from just outside the area. McDonald's kick reached Convery who just stayed onside before slipping it neatly past Fridge. Two minutes later it was 1-1. A long-range Richard Hastings effort was dropped by Wylie and Glancy knocked it home. Clyde surged forward after the break and Fridge did well to beat out Allan Grant's angled shot. In 55 minutes Fridge again came to the rescue when he raced out of his area to beat Convery. Midway through the half Caley Thistle had a good spell with the best efforts being a Christie shot over the bar and a Paul Sheerin drive at the keeper. Clyde pressed hard for the last 10 minutes but the defence held up. In injury time Clyde's John Barratt squared up to Richard Hastings and was dismissed. The whistle went and Caley Thistle's 8 point lead over Clyde remained intact although Clyde have a game in hand.
