First Team Debuts

Milestones
Wayne Addicoat played his 50th major competitive game for the Club.

Despite the length of the table separating them from the visitors, Forfar put up a great show and deserved a point. They earned two corners in rapid succession in the first few minutes but the Caley Thistle defence held firm. Gary Farquhar created a good chance at the other end but Dean Roberston cut it out. Jim Calder pushed out an Andy Cargill corner then caught Ralph Brand's header back across goal. Duncan Shearer gave Caley Thistle the lead 5 minutes before half-time when he fired home after a Paul Sheerin cross. Forfar came out fighting after the break and equalised in 55 minutes when Cargill took a pass from Martin McLauglan and hit it home off the post. Forfar tried hard for a winner and Calder had be sharp to save from the feet of McLaughlan then deny Brand. It was Caley Thistle who took the lead in 77 minutes when Scott McLean headed in a cross from Gary Farquhar. Forfar put great pressure on the visitors defence right up to the final whistle. It held out almost to the end but with time running out a Robertson clearance reached Bobby Mann and he found Cargill who steered it past Calder for 2-2. Three draws in a row for Caley Thistle and the gap between second and third has now reduced to 6 points.
