Milestones
The home side were on top throughout this bottom of the table clash but could not apply the killer touch. In 5 minutes Iain Stewart turned in the area but shot just past. Four minutes later Brechin had a real chance when a defensive slip let in Ralph Brand but he hit it at Fridge from 10 yards. In the 14th and 15th minutes Stewart had hook shots saved and in the 23rd minute Brechin's Steven Campbell stepped in before Stewart could get in a shot after a great move involving Shearer and Robson. Three minutes later Fridge saved well from Christie and Hastings headed off the line. In a flurry just before half time a Shearer 15 yard shot was blocked and Wilson hit it past the post. Cherry then sent Stewart on a great run but his cut across the face of the goal found nobody. Two minutes into the second half Brechin's James McKellar ran past the defence and forced a good save from Fridge. In 52 minutes another Wilson run down the right led to a chance for Robson but he shot just over. In 74 minutes a loose ball reached Shearer 12 yards out but he hit it past. In 76 minutes Addicoat flicked it to Stewart in the box but he headed past and 5 minutes later McCulloch had 2 shots blocked. On the final whistle a Stewart flick was saved by Garden. A frustrating afternoon for the home fans. After the final whistle Inverness' Vetle Andersen was red carded for words to the Assistant Referee.
