Milestones
Construction work on Livingston's new South Stand meant no floodlights and a 1 pm kick-off. The early start allowed Caley Thistle's Barry Wilson to complete a unique double. Last week he scored Scotland's last goal of the old millennium against Clydebank and at Livingston he scored the first of the new, a close range header. It was not enough to secure all three points as Brian McPhee hit an equaliser for Livingston with a low shot from a few yards out after a Marc Millar effort was blocked. The lack of lights nearly led to an early end to the match. With 30 minutes left the skies darkened and the rain came pelting down. Abandonment at 0-0 was a real possibility but conditions improved a little and the match was completed, albeit amidst gloom. Davide Xausa was sent off in 87 minutes for two bookings. Jim Calder was a hero for Caley Thistle time after time.
