Milestones
Mike Teasdale played his 100th major competitive game for the Club. |
The wind caused problems but Caley Thistle controlled the game. Wilson had the first shot in 3 minutes from the edge of the box but it was blocked. In 5 minutes Livingstons Conway set up Millar but Calder saved his drive. McLean had a chance in 12 minutes when he sent in a low header after a Wilson corner but it crept past. In 17 minutes Calder made a double save from Rajamaki and McCaldon saved a low Christie shot. In 28 minutes Hastings ran into the Livingston half and shot low past the post from just outside the area. In 44 minutes a Sheerin free kick from 20 yards shaved the post. 30 seconds into the second half Caley Thistle were caught by a move involving Robertson and Bingham, his close range shot was deflected for a corner. The home side began to dominate and in 56 minutes a long Calder clearance fell for McLean who ran on and shot from 15 yard, however McCaldon saved well. A minute later it was 1-0. A McCulloch run set up Christie on the edge of the box, he passed to Shearer who scored from 12 yards. 5 minutes later Christie was again the provider when his pass found Wilson in the box and he trundled it past McCaldon to make it 2-0. In 83 minutes Livingston pulled one back when Millar was unmarked at the back post and headed home a Bingham free kick. This gave Livingston hope but the Caley Thistle defence held firm. A fine victory which put Caley Thistle joint top of the Division with Clyde.
