Milestones
Duncan Shearer scored his first goal for the Club.

Duncan Shearer made his debut and scored in 7 minutes. The team started well, finished strongly but struggled in between. High winds and squally showers made football difficult but the home team deserved their early lead. Hastings powered down the left and sent over a low ball which Shearer turned into the net. In 28 minutes McCulloch cleared the ball after defensive errors created an opening for Stranraer and in 38 minutes Gordon Young headed over after an Ian McAulay cross. The home side had another chance in 32 minutes when Christie set up Ross on the right but his shot was deflected for a corner. Stranraer scored twice in the second half in 10 minutes during torrential rain. On the hour mark a cross from McAulay on the right was headed in by the unmarked Mark Campbell and 10 minutes later a McIntyre shot was blocked but Robert Docherty scored from the rebound. In 82 minutes Charlie Christie twisted in the box and sent in a hook shot which was deflected past. From the Wilson corner the ball passed over the defence and Stewart headed home at the back post. Relief at saving a point was tempered by the knowledge that 3 points out of 5 games is a poor average.
