Milestones

Forfar started well and a Mann header was cleared from the goalmouth in the first minute. Two minutes later a McLean effort was cleared for a corner. In 9 minutes Teasdale crossed from the right and McLean opened the scoring with a back-post header. In 26 minutes a Brand clearance rebounded goalwards off Stewart and Robertson made a good save. On the half-hour mark it was 1-1. Honeyman took a ball through the middle and hit it low past Jim Calder from 15 yards. The home side pushed forward early in the second half and in 55 minutes Christie beat 4 men only for Mann to clear his low cross. Forfar had chances on the break and in 68 minutes a superb tackle by Mark McCulloch halted a Honeyman strong run. In 79 minutes Brand beat Calder but he had fouled the keeper. Two minutes later Brand beat the defence with a solo effort and knocked it past Calder to give Forfar the lead. It only lasted two minutes as Wilson equalised direct from a free kick just outside the area. Caley Thistle pressed for a winner but it would not come. Other scores pushed Caley Thistle back to the top of Division 2.
