Milestones

Caley Thistle comprehensively won this match in front of a tiny crowd. Graeme Bennett returned to the Caley Thistle side after a long lay-off through injury and he opened the scoring in the 5th minute when he netted from close range.

The first half was a tously affair with 4 bookings and Cowdenbeath's Petrie being sent off.

The second half got off to a fiery start when Richard Hastings brought down Cowdenbeath's top scorer Mark Yardley.

Mayhem reigned for a time but Caley Thistle settled down after John Scott increased their lead with a 25 yard lob in 52 minutes.

Yardley pulled one back 6 minutes later but the match was over as a contest when Alan Hercher scored a 3rd for the visitors in 67 minutes.

With 12 minutes remaining Mark Yardley showed his frustration by committing his second bookable offence in 2 minutes and he was sent off.
