First Team Debuts

Milestones

Montrose won this much postponed match with a 4-goal second half blitz. The home side's misery was compounded by a bad leg injury to young full back Stephen MacDonald in the 70th minute.

The first half was fairly even and the home side had several chances which they did not take. Montrose also came close - paricularly in 7 minutes when Jim Calder saved well from Milne.

Early in the second half Martin Lisle shot inches wide after a fine ball from Charlie Christie but in 56 minutes the breakthrough came at the other end. Beedie scored from 30 yards with a crisp drive and a minute later he made it two from the penalty spot after John Scott had brought down McDonald.

In 73 minutes Milne made it three and in 86 minutes “Man of the Match” Mark Haro scored a fourth.
