First Team Debuts

Milestones

The Inverness side deserved to win but only just. They dominated the first half and had early chances - the best being a 12th minute Paul Cherry header which was deflected over.

Substitute Scott McLean broke the deadlock in the 39th minute when he took a Daisy Ross pass and drove home from 8 yards. The visitors pressed hard for the rest of the half - Scott McLean headed past, a Paul Cherry header was touched over by Jim Butter and Charlie Christie hit it over the bar from 18 yards.

Montrose took command in the second half but the visitors defence held out. The best chance fell to Neil Thomson in the 71st minute - his close range shot was cleared off the line by MacArthur.

A minute from time Iain Stewart cliched it when he converted a penalty after Chris Masson handled in the box. Ian MacArthur and Daisy Ross shone for the visitors but it was a below par performance - despite this they took 3 points and stay 6 points clear at the top of the Division.
