The Inverness clubs 100th league game ended in a good win and another step towards promotion. Mike Noble became the first player to reach 100 appearances for the visitors and he celebrated with a goal. An uninspiring first 30 minutes but the visitors took the lead in 36 minutes. Charlie Christie made a great run into the box under severe pressure and his cross was parried by Balfour - Scott Mclean was well positioned to head home. The visitors were in control after that and in 57 minutes it was 2-0. A long range Barry Wilson effort rebounded to Mike Noble who controlled it on his chest before blasting it home from 10 yards. Alloas best effort came in 64 minutes when Jim Calder touched over a Willie Irvine free kick.
