Milestones
A record crowd and a convincing win. A hectic first half saw few clear chances but a dismissal for Countys Sandy Ross following a bad tackle on Richard Hastings. The first half also saw 4 bookings and referee Andrew Waddell had his work cut out restoring order after Ross was sent off.
Just before the interval Iain Stewart made it 1-0 with a 15 yard deflected shot after a good run by Richard Hastings. Early in the second half Scott McLean was stretchered off with a bad leg injury and he was replaced by Brian Thomson - in 75 minutes Thomson made it 2-0 with a thundering drive from 15 yards after a cross from Iain Stewart.
Stewart himself made it 3-0 a minute later when he beat the offside trap and chipped it over Hutchison. The Inverness side are now 16 points clear and have played 18 league games without defeat. Promotion and the championship are only short steps away.
