First Team Debuts

Milestones

This game only went ahead after a major snow clearing exercise by 40 volunteers and County's efforts were rewarded with 3 points.

The first half hour was dominated by Caley Thistle who had two good chances through McKenzie before Andrew put them in the lead after 20 minutes with a penalty. Alan Hercher went up for a cross ball, was hit from behind and a penalty was awarded.

Towards the end of the first half Mike Noble was injured and he failed to re-appear in the second half.

Half Time: 0-1

This gave the County midfield a chance to gain control and the home side dominated the second half.

In 52 minutes they equalised when MacPherson headed home from a Connelly cross. In 69 minutes they took the lead through Brian Grant following a fine move involving Williamson, Somerville and Ferries.

The game was killed off two minutes later when Brian Grant made it 3-1 - Furphy found Ferries who crossed for Grant to flick the ball home.
