Milestones
This was one of Caley Thistle's worst performances of the season. In the first minute John Scott caught a boot in the face and was taken to hospital for emergency surgery.
Caley Thistle started well despite the wet pitch and trialist ex-Ranger John MacDonald had a good chance which was cleared. Queens opened the scoring in 30 minutes when Maxwell rose with Caley Thistle's Sweeney & Sinclair - the ball reached the net and it was credited to Maxwell.
Two minutes later Gary Orr made it two - Jim Calder stopped the shot but it trickled over the line.
In the 59th minute Caley Thistle fought back with a fine MacDonald goal after a good cross from McAllister. Things went downhill after that for the Inverness team when they lost two more goals - scored by Queens substitutes McPhee & Rodden - and had Paul McKenzie sent off for raising a hand to an opponent.
