Milestones
This was a greatly improved performance which resulted in a win against a stuffy Cowdenbeath side and a move into third place in the league.
In 13 minutes Thomson shot into the hands of Russell and nine minutes later he headed over the bar after a cross from Teasdale. In a 6 minute spell from the 28th minute chances fell to Hercher, Thomson and Ross before Christie opened the scoring. He drove home from the edge of the box after a through ball from Hercher.
5 minutes later Winter brought out a good save from Calder and in 40 minutes a great one-two from Stewart and Christie resulted in a goal-line clearance by Humphreys from Christie.
Cowdenbeath battled hard in the second half and a Scott volley in 55 minutes was well saved by Calder. Thomson made it 2-0 in 59 minutes - keeper Russell cleared upfield and from 35 yards Thomson hit a spectacular lob over his head.
